John wayne was a nazi, not anymore.

Things that make me happy even in this time of the season. Just like becky's photo of her loves luke and quinn makes her happy, For me, the musician Anthony green's music makes me warm hearted and happy. Also When I see happy couples it makes me happy. It always has i'm not sure why. Like i posted in one of my earlier blogs, my favorite quote is " I love their love and I am thankful" - conor oberst of bright eyes.

Always.

(Oh and "John wayne was a nazi" by MDC also makes me nostalgic and happy thats why its the headline.)

Warmer Wednesday

There are a lot of things id go back and change about this last year if i could. Some one really needs to invent a time machine already. I would have stayed home more instead of going to so many parties or trying hard to go to parties. Ive been doing that now though. But if i could i would definantly stay at home more.

Chicken Eggs

I didnt even know when break was. Or how long it was for. Two weeks! I'm excited to sleeeep. I hardly ever sleep because i have a hard time getting to sleep and staying asleep. Now I'll have more time to try to sleep. I can already see clashing with my mom if im home for too much of the time.

2008 ABC'S

A is for... Apocalyptic Crust Fest. Chicago apocalyptic crust fest take place 3 days in a row every year in cisero(?) Chicago Iowa. Crust/Thrash/Metal/Mathcore bands play, as many as 20 bands play each day. I heard of this and immeadiatly wanted to go. I Brought luis and my friends josh and forest. we drove there and met awesome people on the way and on our way home as well. The friends we made their will never be forgotten. I just wish i had a camera!

B is for... By chance. All the amazing and not so amazing people Ive met just by chance. The randomness. I'm glad Ive met some of these people.

C is for... City Buses. Everyone who rides the bus knows there are some funny strange people who ride the bus. My bus route involves the 21a to uptown wich also rides through E lake st where I fear for my life. HaHa.

D is for... Ditching school. 'nuff sed.

E is for... Everyone luis and I met in madison wisconsin coming back from chicago. Stayed up for a good 24 hours in a punk house in madison dancing to the final countdown and even greenday (no narrcotics included just pure fun) Luis passed out early and pissed his pants. I was sleeping in the basement drying my clothes because i hopped in the shower fully clothed dancing the night before. I heard luis talking so i ran up. He was being hilarious i love him. pointless story. sorry.

F is for... Faith. My personalty has been chopped and screwed and molded so many time this year. It's been a tough one.

G is for... Girl Fight! (s) This last year Ive been in too many girl fights its ridiculous. I was never the type to get involved in such caddy arrguments. I'm still not. We have our times. I've gotten into some petty fights because of other girls smart little mouths. I don't like smart little mouths and the future fights that are insured to follow with them.

H is for...

I is for... Irish fest! Here's a little story for the kids. Bored at a friends practice space in downtown st.paul my friend calvin, josh and ryan decided to walk down to irish fest. We got there and met up with luis. We walked around checking out everything, trying to scam people to give us there drinks and what not. I saw matthea and some others too. It wasnt long before we all got seperated. I stood by the exit thinking they might come back to look for me... Nope! I stood there taking peoples drinks and greeting them goodbyes. Some friendly people took me under their wing and next thing i know im at a bon fire watching gypsies juggle and blow fire. Also the next thing i know my newest friends and i are going iowa! Next thing i know im in a tent in coon rapids in someones back yard. It was the guy me and eliza and her friend derek had met the night before. He was nice and his family made us breakfast. It was the first time i had ever drank instant coffee! Eliza and derek drove me to coon rapids that night so I had the guy rob(?) drive me to uptown were I laid on the bank of calhoun from 12:00pm to 5pm and then attended Anthony green at the triple rock and i got in for free! Because of my hoodrat antics. It was fun.

J is for... Job. I've been looking for one for a whole year now and have only had two interviews. I hate hate hate looking for a job.

K is for...

L is for... Loft parties. Since I was fifteen These parties had been thrown. My friend and I would go not knowing anyone, by the time 3am hit we left with everyone. So many friends were made thanks too those parties. Even though the people who attended them were 4-7 years older than us. Haha. still friends with some of those people.

M is for... My mother who kicked me out of the house around june 29th(?) and I spent some days worrying everyone in my bloodline about where I was due to a dead phone. This opened up the oppurtunity my dad suggested I move back with him in california. And the next day I was gone on a plane.

N is for... No where to go. Through out this year there's been no where to go at some points. Some of those points It was fun and an adventure. Other times, I was alone and I had no where to go. I always find myself home. With a little help from some good people.

O is for... Oppurtunity. I've taken every single oppurtunity thats come too me and and proud of myself for that.

P is for... Pacific coast. Last march I brought emily to california with me. This trip was exciting. Our first major quest was too buy cigarettes or someone to buy us some. Check! my nieghbor down the road Jojo bought us each a pack. We biked down to venice and sat in front of the tattoo/ magic animal show thing. We asked for change in english accents and talked and made friends with the bums. Our "closest" bum friends were named Ted and Tino. Ted was tall and had very pretty blue/green eyes. He also had shaggy blonde hair and had golden skin form living on the beach. He was 23. Tino was... Tall super tan, blue eyes muscular from running up and down the beach in the mornings. He was 28. Ted told emily and i how he left engineering school to become a bum. They all smoke mad weed. Tito explained how society is messed up and how he didnt want to be apart of it anymore. Me and Emiy went to venice each day, looking at fine brothas, asking for change, and talking with ted and tino.

Q is for... Questioning my own reason.

R is for... Recklessness. Ive been so reckless this year. Its the perfect word to describe me as. I'm trying to change it and ive been doing a swell at it so far!

S is for... Super America gas stations. In the black of the night leaving a party it's become more tradition to steal food from a super america gas station. Hungry and about to go home you need something to tie you over and being youthful as we all are and broke. Its funnier to steal salads.

T is for... Triple Rock. All the free shows and friends playing there this year had been fun.I get in for free because im sneaky as hell! and on occasion some friends will tour through mpls with a band i may like so they get me in. I used to go to shows every weekend and sometimes during the week as well. I hardly go to them anymore. Last year i got mugged 2 blocks from from the triple rock and returned to a show with no shoes. Too much fun.

U is for... Uptown. The times i spent biking around Calhoun and the lyndale neighborhoods in the after hours of summer and spring nights. The dance parties thrown on harriet and the fights thrown on the way to 31st and garfield. All my 'weekend' friends sneaking me in under there coat tails.

V is for... Vendetta...

W is for... wasting money at Alberstons. In california they have albertsons. I lived two blocks up the street from and albertsons. I spent so much money buying swiss rolls and lettuce and dressing there. and sadly enough had to apply for a job there. Obvoiusly never got it. Alberston's was also the place me and emiy hung out in front of when we were bored. We did that like twice in our visit.

X is for... xui xui and johanna newsom. Incredibly HORRID bands. I don't know what kind of state of mind you'd have to be to actually enjoy these bands. High on heroin or losing your mind. These bands are terrible. I's rather listen to lyonel richies christmas album.

Y is for...

Z is for...

Midwest opposite of best dressed:

I dont know why the midwestern states are dressed up so terribly. The older generation I can understand but our youth is stuck in the ditch. When I think of style and fashion i think of what youre wearing is a reflection of you and your personalty. You dress yourself the way you are creatively. Are you seroiusly a 50$ screen tee? or another flaired jean minnesotan roxy chick? C'mon! So much creative style is missing. I frequently Visit Rekjavik looks wich is an icelandic style blog. I found this blog last year in dire need to change my style. While visiting this blog i found a whole cornucopia of european fashion blogs. Its not hard to tell europe is years ahead of us in street fashion:

Greece riots (READ!)

This is an incredible article on the riots in greece. If I'm not mistaken these riots have been going on for a week straight now. It's early and my eyes are lazy but I've copied and pasted the url where you can read the story for yourselves. I think this is amazing and great because the citizens of greece are fighting back and are not taking police brutality for one second! It really show's the unity of these citizens. With out such a strong group of people (more than 2,000 people) holding up together these protests and riots would have been swept under the covers and the young boys death kept hush hush.

Viva la truth!

Back in late 2008 it was obvious to see the united states economic state was paralyzed and put into a depression coma. In the last remaining months in 2008 5,841,000 americans had lost their jobs due to economic failure. In the early months of 2009 1,000,000 americans were either laid off for months or lost their jobs all together. In a panic stricken state some unlawful americans fled the country to europe and the middle eastern countries. Back in the states as poverty continued to rise and the frantic uprising of anarchist ideals swarmed through many faithless citizens minds. Although through out the 2000's U.S. had gotten more eco friendly and more radical envioronmentalists had begun communes across the states. Only now in this time will people be strung together so tightly.

by numbers economic shift

I dont know much about our economic downturn. I will from now on keep in tune to the news.

553,000 people losing there jobs in nearly a month is a huge sign that our economy is to the point of no return. I'm scared and a bit eager to see what lies in our future. Eager for the chaos scared for my family.

Your glass embrace
surrounds porcelain prisoners
listen and blaze
die away from me

2. Fling:

Yesterdays translucent velvet throb
say we linger
make her morning
drink night

My weekend and the electric blanket

Was nothing. I slept all days except friday. My dear friend alexander returned to Minnesota from L.A. wednesday night. Visiting only but 5 days. I met alex through a friend about two years ago(?) we've partied alot and ripped up parts of town. Hallah. Sorry, only he would get that. Anyway! Someone threw him a welcome home party Friday night. So naturally I went. It was so good to see him, And it also felt unreal considering the fact I haven't seen in him in months which feel like years. It was a fun time.  I was going to finish up this paragraph with and thats all i did this weekend. BUUUT!

GREATEST thing in the world happend saturday. My mom bought me a electric blanket!!! Im haven't ben so happy about anything since crust fest. The reason why i am oh so happy to have recieved this is because our house we live in is at the 48 degree temp. KID YOU NOT. My room is on the fourth level and is apparently the coldest room in the house considering I have the only room WITH DRAFTS in it. My mom claims we cant afford to turn the heat up and that we're in a economic crisis.. YET she spends a ton of money on useless christmas decorations and ridiculous christmas cds no one will listen to. She is crazy. LITERALLY.  So in the suffering from her crazy ness I've been suffering the bitter cold for nights, leaving me sleepless weary and pissed off every morning since i can remember. But is changed! after a two months of sucidal thoughts brought on from the cold and two months of complaining I finally woke up today warm if not hot in  my electic blanket.
But the tables would and could probably change. My mom could stop paying the electricity bill in efforts to save money easter c.d.s or fourth of july lawn chairs!

Gratitude

I don't like to and would rather not celebrate any holiday. I've only had these beliefs for the last two years but I follow them dearly. Also I'd say I'm old fashion in the sense that I like to hold tradition, something my mother has never been to keen on (reasons unknown to anyone). I didn't do anything for thanksgiving. I sat and watched sword in the stone with my brother and when it was time to eat I made myself a bowl of cereal. My mom had made tons of food however, my brothers and I strayed far from the dining room and my mom's current boyfriend who was perched in a chair. It made me so sad to watch. My dad would sit there. Our family in previous dinners had sat there. Not anymore.

Every holiday has lost its value to me, emotionally and logically. Logic part being knowing how conceided and materialistic these religious holidays have become.

I'm thankful for the native indians giving our decsendents food so they could build up the wonderful society created today. Only after decsendents killing the natives first though.

~*~~~~SarCazM~~~~*~~~~~

I'm thankful always. Or atleast I try to be. I'm thankful for the handfull of people who are my friends and have the strength to deal with me:]

hedge hogs!!!!

Apon my research of long eared and normal hedge hogs I came across a small disturbing fact:

"Hedgehogs were eaten in ancient egypt and some recipes in the middle ages."

I didnt know that! sad!

This is now day two of my hedge hog research. Hedge hogs have always been something I've loved to own. Maybe when I get a job (if that ever happens) I'll be able to afford the upkeep of a hedge hog. Their so cute! I didn't know there were albino hogs nor did I know some hedge hogs can to the size of two softballs! SCARRRYYY! Domestic Hedgehog's eat cat food while wild ones eat insects! The most common type of hedge hog sold in the united states would be the African pygmy hedgehog. Domestic Hedgehogs eat cat food! Foxes are the main predators to hedgehogs (wild hedgehogs)
Day three of my research. I just stumbled apon a website solely dedicated to selling hedgehogs online. I think it's a bit odd. I know it's not every rare to find animals home through the internet but I guess I never thought hedgehogs and such a following. This website is called Hoobly.com. A hedge hogs lifespan is 3 -8 years.

Friday 14

This is the opening line to Ella Wheeler Wilcox poem named: Solitude

"Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Weep, and you weep alone."

I enjoy this quote from her poem. You can look at this quote two different ways. One, in a positve outgoing manner, telling you always keep your chin up. Or two, ' When the funs over your the only one left to clean up' Or what ever something like that. I understand this quote and I like alot. I relate to it.

sooo 90's

Today I'm going to somewhat vent about mesh shirts in 2008.

Not only do I think mesh shirts are sooo 90's, creepy buff raver guy threads and popular pre teen goth accessories are the only people not sensible enough to leave the mesh shirt fad skeleton in their closets for good. I don't know what it is about a mesh shirt that would draw positive attention to a customer seeking one in a store. I also have no Idea why a designer cough cough Alessandro Dell Aqua would even think about sending a model down a catwalk in such a dreadful surrealist fabric.
I'm sadden to see American Apparel producing whole sale AND in store sales of mesh shirts. AA claims these mesh shirts are "good for layering" and "makes a plain shirt interesting again". No. Your not on a middle school touch foot ball team and hopefully your not a preteen boy lost and confused walking around some suburban mall half naked in mesh.
